I admit it: I'm a total geek. I love electronics, programming, 3D printing, 3D art, and vintage Apple hardware. I'm always juggling half a dozen projects. I also enjoy documenting it all: my successes, my failures, my experiences... and everything geeky along the way.

It's time for the final paint job. Here's the look that I'm going for.

I started with the skin. I mixed the paint myself. I think it came out pretty good.

I then started with the gray parts of the uniform.

In order to paint the bodysuit blue and not get it all over the skin, I decided to mask off the skin with some painter's tape. I hope it does the trick.

Unfortunately, the paint still managed to make its way under the tape. Removing the tape also peeled off some of the gray paint.

It's going to need some touch-ups.

That's better. I also pained the eyes and the mouth. After everything dried, I secured it to the base.

I just need to get my hands on a doll wig and I think it's done.
